Wainhouse Terrace is a grade II listed building located in the fork between Burnley Road and Rochdale Road, to the west of King Cross.

Wainhouse undertook the project to enhance a block of back-to-back terrace houses. The houses, with attached under dwellings, were typical of the popular Victorian terraces built all over Halifax at the time and were complimented with a 200ft balcony, complete with an ornamental colonnade. The houses had their original balconies rebuilt and were supported by a new colonnade which gave a Mediterranean appearance. Access to the main balcony was given via two bridges which project from elegant, machicolated towers. The terrace houses were demolished in 1978 leaving behind the colonnade and architectural features that appears above today.
