2-cottage laithe-house, early C19. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof.
2 storeys. Single-cell cottages, back-to-back. South front has 5-light flat
faced mullioned window with same over; paired doorways (one blocked). The left
to cottage the right to barn mistal. Segmental arched cart entry with tie-stone
jambs. 2 chamfered rectangular ventilators over. 2-light chamfered window
lacks mullion. Break in stonework at 1st floor level. Former 4-light chamfered
mullioned window Kith lowered sill, now forms 2 wide lights. Over single sash
window. Doorway with monolithic jamb next to single light with same over.
Coped gables with kneelers and stacks. One other stack to ridge. Rear fronts
road. Laithe-house has similar disposition to south front but has quoined
angles and Venetian window over cart entry with projecting sill, impost and
raised false keystone.
