Barn. C17, probably late. Coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. 3
bays with outshut to front right. Quoins. Central cart-entry with wood
lintel. Window in plain stone surround to left bay. Outshut has doorway
on right. Added pent-roofed outshut on right. Rear: threshing door in
blocked, quoined, opposing cart-entry. To right, high up, a chamfered
rectangular vent. Interior: heavy-scantling joists to floored portion on
right. Two trusses with heavy-scantling tie-beams, short king-post block
in apex and principal rafters (similar to roof truss in barn at Shield Ha11
Bakery (qv), Shield Hall Lane).
