Barn. C16 with C17 and C19 cladding. C20 alterations. Timber frame, C17 rubble and C19 brick. Stone slate roof. Six internal bays with rear aisle and formerly with partial front aisle. Cart-entry in bay three within continuous 1986-7 verandah under catslide roof. Opposing cart-entry at rear, part-blocked. Later window to each bay. Left return of brick with exposed timber framing and blocked ventilation slits.

Interior: (April 1986): seven trusses (end ones and all front posts embedded in wall). Jowelled posts, curved braces from rear posts to arcade plate, straight braces from all posts to tie-beams, some braces removed. King posts with replaced struts (except truss six). Short braces from king posts to ridge piece (no king post to truss seven). Trenched purlins mostly renewed. Sawn softwood rafters. Arcade posts to trusses five and six are on wallstone plinths. Wall plates both have tenoned scarf joints in bay three.

Converted cartsheds attached to north-west not of special interest.
