Timber frame barn approximately 40 metres south-east of Hollinhirst Farmhouse

Barn. Timber frame probably C16 encased probably C18. Coursed rubble, stone slate roof (part collapsed). Five internal bays. Quoined, central square-headed cart-entry. Large C18 barn projecting to left not included in the item. Similar opposing cart entry to rear under C20 lightweight additions. Lower, later stone farm building projects from left return, not included in item.
Interior: six king-post trusses with raking queen struts on posts which are straight-braced to arcade plates and tie-beams. Short aisle-ties give a narrow aisle to both sides. Wall plates extant. Each end frame is built into the gable walls.
