Church of St Stephen

A Grade II* Listed Building in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria

one of the Warton/Wharton shields

Uploader's Comments

Warton/Wharton tomb:
One of four panels with shields.
First on the bottom row of this panel, from the right is Furnival (6 martlets, i.e., small birds). Next to the left of it is Ufflete (Usflete, 3 fleur-de-lis). Above that is Stapleton (a lion).

Kind regards,
Ray & Marie Ella, (Mr.& Mrs.).
