5/37 Buddle trough at approximately 30
- metres east of Bosliven Farmhouse
GV II
A buddle trough (a trough originally used as a dressing floor for separating tin from
other sediment). Probably C18. Dressed granite monolith. The trough is hewn out of
a large granite boulder and has drain holes and holes for fastening a sieve over.
Roughly rectangular on plan. Inner surfaces worn by use. This trough was probably
used at the nearby blowing house known as the Sanctuary (marked Tithe Barn on map).
