House. Early C17 with some mid C19 and early C20 alterations. Whitewashed
rubble, hipped thatched roof with ridge and gable stack. 2-room, through
passage plan, L-plan formed by 1 1/2 storey rear wing. 2 storeys, front has
ground floor 2-light casement right and left, C19 door with raised fillets to
right of ridge stack. Left return has 2-light casement with timber lintel at
ground floor left and first floor, small blocked stair light with timber lintel
at ground floor right; rear wing has blocked door. Right return has small
single casement at first floor right, brick lean-to to rear right with plate-
glass window. Rear has 2-light casements under eaves, C20 2-light window at
ground floor right, rear passage door inside lean-to, lean-to has 2-light and
3-light window and door; inner side of rear wing has door, 2-light casement in
gable end. Interior: deep-chamfered beams with ,run-out stops at ground and
first floor, room to left has C19 partition wall with dresser, C20 fireplace
beneath ridge stack, spice cupboard in rear wall; winder stair behind plank and
batten door to front left.
