II
Holy well-house. Probably late C15, repaired in C20. Granite and slatestone rubble. Stone roof.
Plan: Small rectangular well-house, built into the bank at the rear. Gable end to front and rear.
Exterior: Front has a 4-centred arched doorway, with chamfered granite jambs and
arch. C19 wrought iron gate across doorway, with trefoil finials to shafts. Raised coped verges to front gable. No windows.
Interior: Slate floor. Plastered vaulted roof. Rear has image niche with segmental head; C19 statue of the Virgin.
The Bidwell is marked on the 1907 Ordnance Survey.
