House, now two cottages. Possibly C17 with right-hand side rebuilt in mid C19. Stone rubble, partly rendered andslate-hung above ground floor on left-hand gable end, front projecting gable end of C19 range with evidence of probable C17 masonry in lower courses. Scantle slate roof with gable ends to C17 range with C20 brick chimney stack on left-hand gable end and projecting front lateral stone rubble hall chimney stack to right. C19 range comprising cross wing on right with gable ends and projecting stone rubble chimney stack with moulded strings at rear gable end. Plan originally possibly three room and cross passage with hall and probably unheated inner room on left extant.
Lower end largely rebuilt in circa mid C19 forming cross wing to earlier range with two room and cross passage plan, the kitchen in larger room on right heated by a gable end stack with cloam oven projection. Two storeys, asymmetrical front elevation with C17 range on left and gable end of C19 range on right. C19 and C20 single-storey outshuts on left and in front of central front projecting lateral stack with gabled half-dormer with C20 casements.
Rear elevation of C17 range with regular two-window elevation; two C20 casements on ground floor and two C20 casements in gabled half-dormers. C19 range with two-storey regular two-window front; two C20 two-light casements with glazing bars and dressed stone segmental arches on ground floor with door to left of centre with gabled slate lean-to porch roof on chamfered C19 timber posts. Three C20 2-light casements in gabled half-dormers above. Reset C17 three-light granite mullion window with stanchion bars and C19 casements in gable end.
Interior of C19 range with slightly chamfered C19 ceiling beams and C19 chimney piece. Roof timber not accessible. C17 range with fairly heavy rough cut ceiling beams to hall. First floor not inspected.
