north of Brereton Hall

Stable block, now schoolrooms, circa 1829. Red-brown Flemish bond
brickwork; stone-slate roof. 2 storeys, 6 windows, symmetrical.
Projecting central pediment-gable has blocked basket-arched entry with
separated stone voussoirs. Brick plinth. 2-light mullioned and
transomed leaded casements in wings; two 1-light transomed casements
in blocked archway. Moulded brick cornices; clock in pediment;
octagonal cupola with louvres blocked. Windows at rear, around small
open court, and interior altered.
