Pair of attached houses, now one house. Early C19, with later alterations. Painted
stone rubble. Asbestos slate roof with gable ends and gable end stacks with brick
shafts.
Plan: Originally No. 4 was to right and No. 5 to left. No. 4 was of 2-room plan,
with central entrance, the room to right heated from the gable end stack. No. 5 was
of one-room plan, with entrance directly into the room, heated from the gable end
stack to left.
Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 5-window front ; first floor has three C19 16-pane
sashes, alternating with blind windows, all with brick segmental arches. Ground
floor has three 12-pane sashes, all with brick segmental arches ; below each first
floor blind window is a C20 half-glazed door with flat lintel.
Interior: Not inspected.
