Two engine houses and one chimney at Wheal Jenkin copper mine. Late C19. Granite
rubble.
Plan: One engine house to south west; second engine house to north east, with chimney
about 20 metres to south east.
South west engine house is a tall building with granite quoins; gable end to front
and rear with round-arched bob-opening to one gable end, the other gable end with a
wide round-arched opening at ground floor, 2 narrower arched openings at first floor
and one at the apex of the gable. Segmental-arched openings in the side walls and a
lean-to.
North east engine house has doorway to side and gable end, 2 window openings on the
opposite side. Circular rubble tapered chimney.
