23.1.68 II

Lodge, now house. Early C19 with C20 alterations. Painted slatestone rubble with
granite dressings. Asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends, rendered
gable end stacks.
Plan: 2-room plan, with central porch entrance; integral rear outshut with catslide
roof over shallow rear service rooms.
Exterior: 2 storeys, 1:1:1 bays, symmetrical front. Central 2-storey gabled porch
supported on square plan granite monolith piers with square capitals; 4-centred
arched wooden doorway with overlight, door with fleur de lys strap hinges. 2-light
6-pane C19 casement above with L hinges and timber lintel. Ground and first floor to
right and left have C20 2-light casement. Blind wall to right and left.
Rear and interior not accessible at time of survey (August 1986).
