School. Mid C19 with few later alterations. Slatestone rubble with limestone
dressings. Hipped slate roof behind parapet to front.
Plan: Main central hall with porch entrance to right and left; rooms to rear at
higher ground level because of the slope of the ground. Tudor Gothic style.
Exterior: Tall single storey building, symmetrical front with the 3 central bays
slightly advanced, and the porches to right and left. Three 3-light mullion and
transom windows with 4-centred arched lights, hollow-chamfered. Moulded string
course carried across each of the outer bays to right and left at lintel level.
These have 4-centred arched limestone doorways, chamfered with hood moulds; to left
with a C20 door, to rigth with plain door. Left side has large C20 window with flat
stone arch. Right side has one C20 window; parapet with moulded coping. Rear has
one C20 window to left.
