House. Certainly early C18 in origin and maybe earlier. Front of circa 1800 with
mid-19th century and later alterations. Rendered rubble. Slate roof, the eaves
returned with small hips around the gable ends. Hipped roofs to single storey
wings. Double depth plan with entrance to right of centre between the 2 front rooms,
the left had room being larger. Service rooms to rear and stair tower to rear left
of centre. Single storey wings projecting to rear right and left. Entrance to
right of centre. Two storeys, four windows, sixteen pane sashes. Modern porch and
door. Bell cast roof with gable end stack to right. Three hipped dormers with 4
pane sashes. Wings with one sash in each and hipped roofs. Early C18 sashes in
rear stair turret. C19 service wing. Pump dated 1681 at back door.
Interior: not seen but said to be stone paved and to have a straight wooden stair.
