SX 45 SW MAKER-WITH-RAME EMPACOMBE

6/113 Stable block at Bay Cottage

GV II

Stable block. Mid C19. Rubble with some brick dressings and earlier reset granite
features. Slate roof. Rectangular block with central through-way. Single storey.
Central 4-centred arch with roll-moulded surround. Wings either side. To the left
is a doorway and window, to the right is a doorway with flanking windows. Doors
with segmental brick heads. Windows are 8-pane wooden casements. Above the arch is
a gable with a square opening with granite hollow moulded surround. The granite
features are probably re-used C17 ones.
