Pair of cottages. Probably mid C19. Stone rubble with rag slate roofs with gable
ends. Large projecting stone rubble chimney stack on left-hand gable end and smaller
stone rubble chimney stack on right-hand gable end.
Pair of mirror image 1-room plan cottages.
2 storeys, symmetrical 4-window front. Central open porch with slate lean-to roof
with hipped ends supported by low stone rubble walls which are surmounted by the
original rustic timber posts which have chamfered edges with run-out stops at top and
bottom. Plank door on left and C20 stable door on right with tall thin C19 single-
light casements between. 2-light casement to left and 3-light casement to right,
both beneath segmental dressed stone arches. First floor with 2 gabled half-dormers
with Cl9 3-light casements with 2 C19 2-light casements between. C20 extension on
right-hand gable end.
Interior not inspected.
