2 adjoining cottages originally 1 house. C17/C18, remodelled C19. Slatestone rubble
and cob walls, hipped wheat reed thatched roof and brick chimney over external breast
to left side wall and stone chimney over right side wall. L shaped plan: 1 room plan
cottage left plus 1 room rear wing; 1 room plan double depth cottage right including
narrow rear room. 2 storeys. 4 window south front. Right cottage projects
slightly. Doorways under first floor windows 2 and 3 with C20 boarded doors.
Cambered brick arch over right door. 2 ground floor windows left and right are C20
with domed thatched roofs. 16 pane, 2 light casements to first floor.
Interior has open beam ceilings and original pine roof structure with lapped, pegged
collars.
