House with shop, cottages and workshop. Probably mid C19. Shale rubble with
granite dressings and asbestos slate roof with gable ends. Brick chimneys, one
gable and one axial. One long range of double depth plan. 2 storeys. 5-window
range. Ground floor left. Victorian double fronted shop, possibly original, with
arch headed lights. Original fascia obscured by later sign. Two 16-paned wooden
sashes over. Adjoining cottage has similar windows. Door to left of first cottage
and to right of second cottage. Adjoining workshop to right has door left and
opening right with first floor window over door and loading door to right. All
openings have granite jambstones and slightly cambered granite arches. An
interesting and unaltered range of artisan cottages with a contemporary shop front
and workshop.
