II
Cottage, circa mid-C18 with C20 extension continuing facade to left. Whitewashed
stone rubble base with upper walls of cob. Stuccoed extension. Combed wheatreed
thatch roof over whole building with gabled ends. Brick whitewashed stacks at
gabled ends. Originally 2-cell, 1-room deep. Now altered. 2 storeys, almost
symmetrical 2-window front. Ground floor: entrance has been moved to left with C20
glazed door with glazing bars. Two 2-light casements with glazing bars on ground
and first floors. Extension with 3-light casements on groundfloor and 2-light
casements above. Both have glazing bars. C20 lean-to extension on left-hand gable
end. Timber lintel over fireplace at right-hand gable end with slight chamfer.
