GV II

Blacksmith's shop. Circa early C19. Killas and granite rubble with some cob. Steep
corrugated asbestos roof, originally possibly half-hipped and thatched, now with
gable ends.
Plan: Overall L-shaped plan. Original rectangular building has later extension at
right angles in front of the right-hand side.
Exterior: Single storey. One window north-west front. The front was probably a
symmetrical 2 window front but the right-hand part of the wall was removed when the
later C19 or C20 extension was built in front. There is now a window on the left
with vertical glazing bars and random panes and a wide doorway right of the window
with ledged doors. Similar window at left-hand end. Standing outside is an iron
shaping cone.
Interior: Not inspected but said to be unaltered.
