SW 62 SW BREAGE

7/19 Farm building at approx 20m north
of Tranno Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, probably granary over shippon. Circa early-mid C19. Mostly granite rubble
with dressed granite quoins, sills, jambstones and lintels. Half-hipped slurried
scantle slate roof with pigeon holes under the eaves.
Rectangular plan with central entrance to front and first floor loading doorway at
rear.
2 storeys. Symmetrical east front with central doorway and 1 small window either
side and small blocked loading hatch above flanked by 3 pigeon holes either side
under the eaves. The doorway and ground floor window have granite lintels and sills;
the door is ledged and the windows are boarded up.
Interior not inspected.
Part of a planned group of farm buildings relating to Tranno Farmhouse, the whole
unextended and little altered since the C19. Situated in unspoiled open coastal
farmland.
