- adjoining Sunday School

Methodist chapel and attached Sunday school. Circa mid C19. Snecked local stone
rubble with granite dressings and moulded plinth, painted on front wall and part
slate hung to rear. Slate roof with gable ends. Lower Sunday school of stone rubble
with brick dressings and slate roof with gable ends and crested ridge tiles.
Plan: Rectangular plan with entrance in liturgical west end. Sunday school attached
on liturgical south side on right.
Exterior: Front (liturgical west end) has a gable end to front, the central bay set
slightly forward. 2 small porches in the angles to right and left with C19 plank
doors in 2-centred arched openings and battlemented parapets above. Central 3-light
lancet liturgical west window with central glazed light and flanking blind lights and
narrow lancet above in the gable which has a weathervane at the apex. In the left
hand side 2 tall narrow lancet windows with lattice glazing bars, flanked by 2 narrow
blind window openings. The Sunday school adjoining on the right is of single storey
and has brick dressings to the openings. Plank double doors to left and 3 mullion
and transom windows to right, the top light with pointed arched heads.
Interior: of chapel simple but complete with C19 furnishings and fittings.
