Pair of cottages. Circa mid to late C19 built for the Lethbridge estate (qv Tregeare
House, Laneast Parish). Stone rubble. Rag slate roof with hipped ends. Brick axial
stacks.
Plan: Overall 3-room plan with central bay set slightly forward. Entrances in the
left and right hand sides, each leading directly into large rooms which are heated by
axial stacks.
Exterior: 2-storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front with dressed stone arches to ground
floor openings and central first floor openings. Timber lintels to other first floor
openings. C19 2-light casements with glazing bars, the first floor windows are in
small gables with scalloped slate verges. Central gabled bay projecting with
scalloped slate verges. 2-light casements on ground and first floor of central bay
with similar casements on ground and first floor, to left and right. C19 slate hood
to side entrance of left hand cottage and C20 porch to right.
