GV II


Row of 4 estate cottages. Circa mid to late C19. Stone rubble with dressed stone
arches to openings. Slate roof with gable ends. Brick rear lateral stacks.
Plan: Row of 4 cottages, each of double depth plan, heated by rear lateral stacks:
the central pair are mirror images and have front entrances whilst the 2 outer
cottages have side entrances.
Exterior: 2-storeys. Symmetrical 6-window front with dressed stone flat arches to
openings. Central stone rubble pier dividing central pair of cottages whilst the
outer two are set at right angles, the front and rear walls set slightly forward and
with gable ends.
The 2 central cottages each have C20 stone rubble, partly glazed porches with hipped
ends, flanked by a 16-pane sash and a 4-pane casement. Two 16-pane sashes above.
The two outer cottages have 16-pane sashes on ground and first floor.
C20 extensions of one-room plan to rear.
Interior: Not inspected.
