This unusual house is a rare and noble survivor of the style so popular after our campaigns to thwart Napoleon in Egypt in 1798. It was built in about 1835, probably by P. F. Robinson or Foulston of Plymouth, as a museum and geological repository. Embellished with lotus bud capitals and brightly painted, the exotic façade hides two small granite houses above shops.
