1. 1498 PENZANCE CHAPEL STREET (North East Side)

West Penwith RDC Offices including railings SW 4730 5/30

2. Mid C19. Granite ashlar, ground floor rebated joints, above 2 plain pilasters, 2 broken string courses. Eaves parapet and cornice, slightly pedimented blocking course. 3 storeys and basement. 3 windows moulded architraves, sashes with glazing bars. Side entrance, single storey porch with granite Doric columns and entablature. Including iron railings around basement well in front. Wing to north west facing rear, granite, slate hipped roof, 2 storeys, 5 windows, semi-circular headed sashes with intersecting glazing bars. At centre projecting is a tall bell tower of 4 stages with open rendered bell cote surmounted by short pyramid spire. Ground floor left a modern vehicle passage. Dated l834.

All listed buildings on the North East Side of Chapel Street form a group.
