A Grade I Listed Building near St. Just. 16th cent. with alterations in 1670. A notable house built from local granite of two storeys.

The house is of exceptional interest as an example of Cornish architecture. It is also the supposed birthplace of Dr Borlase, the eminent Cornish antiquary in 1695. There is a nearby fogou - an Iron Age subterranean chamber, the purpose of which is unknown.
