The Crowns Engine Houses

C19. Disused since 1914. Roofless. Built of granite. Spectacular situation on
rocks at foot of cliff. 2 and 3 storeys high. Lower of 2 has circular internal
flue also built of granite, upper stage brick. Openings have both granite and
timber lintels. Part of one wall of lower engine house has collapsed.
