God Highest Greatest In this same place under marble are buried the most noble man, John Arundell, his son, Esquire, and Anne Jarnegan, his spouse, a woman preeminent in religion and most notably descended from the most illustrious Baron of Dacres from Northern parts; His four sons, John, Michael, Thomas, George; seven daughters, Maria, Magdalene, Mary, Anne, Catherine, Dorothy, Winifred. As in John, the father, so with John, the son, here buried glowed with affection, so in full paternal love gave to his sons piety who in possessions as also in goodness, receive an abundant inheritance: died the 22nd of July on the ladder of his years 70, truly an ascent to a repose from the years of labours and sorrows; assuredly to his salvation, 1633.
