bridge over the moat about 8 metres
- east of the Old Rectory

Flanking walls, and gateway and gate to the bridge over the moat, at the east
entrance to the Old Rectory. 1851, by William White. Slatestone rubble walls with
stone coping. Later C19 wrought iron gate. The walls are about one metre high and
about 4 metres long, swept out at each end of the bridge. Chamfered cornice with
rounded slate coping. Single later C19 wrought iron gate with railing stanchions to
the sides and spear finials. The walls form an integral part of William White's
design for the Old Rectory, and are the main pedestrian entrance.
