House, in occupation until mid C20, now used as barn/store. Porch dated 1714,
but main building earlier. Slobbered rubble with quoins. Graduated slate roof
with stone copings, kneelers and stone end chimneys. 2 storeys, 3 bays.
Central 2 storeyed gabled porch is an addition. Planked door with chamfered
jambs and initialled and dated lintel. Inserted garage doors to left and single
sash to right. 1st floor has small window to porch and single sash to either
side. All sashes originally 16-paned (some now lack glass and glazing bars)
with timber lintels. Lean-to built against west wall has graduated slate roof
and small window opening. Semicircular stair projection to rear of building has
partially blocked window opening. Blocked cC17 window surround with
semicircular head to east end of rear wall. Some re-used mullioned window heads
and sills externally. Internally, one fireplace downstairs has a bracketed
stone mantelpiece; one fireplace upstairs has a moulded surround. At present
(1983) the building is structually sound although in need of repair.
