Detached house. C16 remodelled in C17 with C19 and C20 alterations and
restoration. Colourwashed rubble with stone copings and C20 double Roman tile
roof. T-shaped plan. Long 2-storey, 5-window range with C16 wing to right-hand
and C17 addition to left-hand with further wing to the rear. C16 range has 2 and
3-light C19 casements. C17 range has 2-light C20 casements. Central part-
glazed door with flat hood on ironwork brackets. 3 ridge stone stacks.
Interior. Evidence of cross passage. Tudor-arched doorways and plank doors in
ground floor right-hand room giving access to newel staircase and further room;
also a compartmented ceiling with deeply chamfered beams. Inglenooks in both
rooms to right hand. Further Tudor-arched doorframes in upper right-hand room by
newel. Upper right-hand room has blocked fireplace with floral decoration on
plaster to jambs.
