Large barn, said to be tithe barn of C17, with attached
farmbuilding, probably granary over store, of C19. Rubble stone
with flush quoins, stone slate roof. Barn with opposed central
projecting 2-storey gabled cart entries, both with timber lintel,
double doors, and small opening in apex. West side has C20 lean-to
to each side and blocked slit ventilation to left with shuttered
loft hole over. South gable end has cambered head stone loft
doorway with small keystone and plank loft door, similar door to
ground floor right. East side has large lean-to probable former
animal shelter to left of cart entry with C20 infill to front.
Seven bays, arch braced collar beams on level of lower of 2 tenoned
purlins. North gable end has small double arch opening in apex and
shuttered pitch hole below. To right of cart entry, projecting
additional building in 2 stages forming L shape with barn, with
gable end wall built into barn structure. Stone steps up to
granary adjoin cart entry, with altered C20 openings to building.
Later addition of C19 has concrete pantile roof, 2 plank doors
between single lights and loft opening.
