Detached cottage. Mid C18, with C19 addition to the east. Rubblestone plinth and cob walls, partly rebuilt in brick'. Thatch roof with gable end and half hip at east end. Brick stacks, renewed at left gable, and at ridge right hand. 1 and a half storeys. 3 windows, C19 cast iron casements at left ground, remainer are C20 metal casements of2, 3, and 41ights. Cambered brick arches to ground floor, eyebrow dormers to first floor. Front door, left of centre, plank, C19. Brick porch, with thatch porch canopy over. C 19 addition has rubblestone walls and brick quoins under same thatch roof. Small outhouse on west end under steep, hipped slate roof. {R.C.H.M. Dorset II, p.186 (4).)
