Cider mill and hop kiln. Late C18 mill with late C19 hop kiln added to
west elevation. Cider mill: brick with sandstone rubble cellar and tiled
roof. 4 bays; 2 storeys and cellar, with dentilled eaves cornice; main
elevation has C20 ground floor casement with cambered head, 2 C20 first
floor casements, and 2 planked doors with cambered heads. Planked door
to cellar in north gable end. Interior: 2 interrupted tie-beam trusses
and central brick partition; cellar has brick tunnel vault. Complete
stone cider mill and mill wheel retained; also stone cider press and
trough. Hop kiln: brick in Flemish bond with slate roof; square base;
connecting slate-hung, tiled passageway connects with first floor of mill;
2 casements in west elevation.
