GV II

Barn. Circa early - mid C19, with additions of later C19 and few later alterations.
Slatestone rubble with brick and granite dressings. The main barn has half-hipped
slate roof with ridge tiles. The addition of later C19 has corrugated asbestos roof
with gable ends.
Plan: The barn has shippons at ground floor with 3 entrances and loft over. To left
there is an addition of later C19, with stabling at ground floor and loft over.
There is a later lean-to at the left and right ends.
Exterior: The main barn has a symmetrical 2-storey front. There are 3 doorways at
ground floor with segmental brick arches. Central double loading door above with
timber lintel. To left and right there is a row of square pigeon holes, with
ventilation slit to right and left. There is a single storey lean-to attached to
right, weatherboarded at the front. Attached at the left end is the lower 2-storey
stable; this has central plank door with small window to right and left, all with
granite lintels. First floor has a central loading door. Attached to end left is a
single storey lean-to with small window with granite lintel at the front and a plank
door at the left end. The left end of the stable has ventilation slit to the loft.
At the time of survey, the rear of the barn was concealed.
