GV II

Stable block c.1780. Red English garden wall bond brick with slate
roof. Two storeys. Yard front: 11 bays symmetrically disposed with
stone plinth. Three-bay central projection. Central basket arch with
stone quoins and voussoirs and triple projecting keystone. Ashlar
band at level of springing. Basket arches to either side now blocked
and containing single doors. First floor central louvred window with
flat-arched head. Round-arched openings to either side. To right and
left are ranges of three bays. Left hand range has door at right with
stone quoins and two windows of 4 x 2 panes to left with three
openings to first floor, that at centre extending lower. Range to
right similar at first floor level with altered ground floor. To
extreme right and left are single slightly projecting gabled bays.
That at left has two-storey blocked arch to centre with ashlar band at
level of springing. Ground floor doors to either side. Similar bay
at right obscured at ground floor level by lean-to.
