House of hall and crosswing plan probably early C17 with later C17 crosswing added to the north. Red brick, mainly English bond with moulded brick to upper edge of thickened ground floor wall. Thatched roof with tumbled gable end parapets and ridge stack at junction of hall and crosswing. Two storeys. Band to front gable end of crosswing carried over window opening as drip mould. First floor of hall and south crosswing has three modern windows, one with cut bricks to splayed reveals, and one small three light casement, now blocked, with ovolo mullions. Three modern windows at ground floor and doorway to a lobby entry. C19 boarded door. Main beams of hall are moulded but without stops and are possibly reused. C17 joists laid on edge. South crosswing has original joists of large scantling, laid flat. Inglenook to the hall with herring-bone patten brickwork and pointed arches to bread oven and spice and salt cupboards. North crosswing also red brick. Thatched roof with tumbled gable end parapets and an end stack. Band between two storeys and at eaves height. Five windows and two doorways, all C20.
