SX 35 SE SHEVIOCK NORTH LANE

5/311 Trewrickle Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse. Circa 1840, with few later alterations. Sandstone rubble, front faced in
slatestone ashlar, limestone long and short quoins to rear. Hipped slate roof with
deep eaves and stacks to sides.
Rectangular double depth plan with central entrance, principal room to front right
and left. Stair to rear left and service rooms to rear with 2-storey integral
service wing to rear right. Symmetrical front.
2-storeys on plinth and 3 windows, all 12-pane sashes with cambered heads and
keystone, central half-glazed door with cambered head, cornice on consoles.
Pilasters to sides supporting eaves band course. Left side has C20 window at ground
floor to left. Rear has 2-storey wing with hipped roof to left, with C20 window at
ground and first floor, both with cambered heads with voussoirs and keystone.
Comtemporary narrow 2-storey block in angle to main range, with pitched roof and
narrow single light with keystone at first floor. C20 single storey addition in
angle with door. To right, C20 window at ground and first floor with cambered heads,
voussoirs and keystone, similar narrow light at first floor to left.
