Former factory building. Late C18. For Wallsuches Bleach Works. Dressed stone with quoins and slate roof. Two storeys, seven bays, the sixth and seventh bays project and are roofless (when surveyed). Windows have narrow lintels and casements, those to first floor with small panes, one ground-floor window is blocked. Large round-headed archways to second and sixth/seventh bays. Octagonal-faced clock in gabled dormer between second and third bays.
Wallsuches Bleach Works, founded 1775, was one of the first chemical bleach works in the country. A rare and early example of a bleach works building.
