Canal aqueduct over River Irwell. 1796. Charles Roberts and
John Nightingale engineers. Dressed stone with brick arches.
3 segmental arches with keystones rest on triangular-ended
cutwaters. Above the cutwaters are flat pilasters. C20 brick
parapet on east side. Grooved for stop planks. Canal now
disused.
