4/98 Cross-base approximately 4 metres
- south of porch of Church of St
Peter

Cross-base. Probably C15. Granite. The base of a cross stands approximately 350mm
high. It is square in section at the bottom and has chamfered edges with pyramid
stops above. It is set in a large socket-stone, itself square in section but with
the top corners chamfered with large broach stops. This sits on a plinth the top of
which has a hollow-chamfered soffit moulding onto a stone rubble base.
