House. Early C17. Roughcast cob on stone footings; gabled-end slate roof. 3-room plan house, the heated rooms to either end, with an unheated service room between; there is now a passage between service room and the hall (to the left) which probably has been inserted. External end stack heats hall; internal end stack heats right-hand room; both have brick shafts. 2 storeys.
Front: 4-window range; the outer first floor windows under weatherboarded gables, the 2 towards the centre both under a larger weatherboarded gable; C19 2 or 3-light casements. 3-light casement window to each of the principal ground floor rooms. Doorway under leanto slate porch.
Interior: not inspected. Dr Alcock notes one and one half bean to hall, chamfered with scroll stops; fireplaces lintel similarly decorated. The other heated room has 1 chamfered beam and half beam, with rounded stops; fireplace lintel, chamfered with scroll stops. Remains of jointed crucks (5 in all, largely dismantled in 1940).
