There are long raised and moulded rectangular panels to front and rear with smaller similarly detailed panels above and below them. The piers are surmounted by large fluted urns with pyramidal bases. The gates are of cast iron and have ornate scrolled and foliated cresting and are flanked by openwork cast iron piers. The adjoining walls are of coursed limestone ashlar with a ridged rubble coping above a continuous projecting course which is stepped where it adjoins the gate piers.
