1758, altered in mid-C19. (The figures 5 and 8 in iron ties on the south gable and
the single initial C, the other presumably being lost, on the north gable, presumably
stand for 1758 and the Wilder, C somebody; for this method of dating of The Old Hall,
St Agnesgate). Colour-washed brick. Slate roof. Coped brick gable ends on brick
kneelers. C18 end stacks with one batter. Two storeys. Apparently once 3-storeys.
Wood modillion eaves cornice. Brick band. Four bays sashes with C19 channelled
stucco voussoirs. C19 door with 4 moulded panels (2 glazed) in moulded wooden frame
with moulded cornice. Shop window with moulded wooden frame: panel bracket and
moulded cornice. Cast iron railings in front of house, running as far as parapet of
Bondgate Bridge: spear and fleur-de-lys finials.
Interior. C18 staircase with closed string, plain newels and turned vase-shaped
balusters.
