House, now shop. Early C18. Red brick with painted sandstone dressings.
Roof not visible from the road. 4-storeys. Chamfered quoins, moulded brick
string course between first- and second-floor windows, breaking forward over
keystones and quoins, plat band above second-floor windows, and rebuilt
parapet with moulded stone coping. 2 bays; early C20 boxed glazing bar
sashes with stone cills, and those to first and second floors with gauged-
brick heads and raised keystones. Mid-to late C20 plate-glass shop-front.
A photograph of c.1900 shows this building still with its early C18 wooden
cross windows. Whitchurch Area Archaeological Group, Whitchurch Remembered,
ill. 32.
