Inscription: Anne, Wife of Lord Bruce of Kinlosse. Anne, Wife to Thomas, Lord Bruce Baron of Kinlosse. Daughter of Sir Robert Chichester, Knight of the Bath of an ancient family in the County of Devon and of Frances one of the two daughters and coheyres of John Harington Baron of Exton, sole heyre to his mother. A Lady endowed with a naturail disposition to Vertue, a true understanding of honor, most noble behaviour, perpetual cheerfulness, most elegant conversation, and a more than ordinary conjugal affection. She was married four yeares and nine months, and left one only childe named Robert Bruce. Weakened by that birth she died in childbed the 20th day of March in the 22nd yeare of her age. Anno Domini 1627. Erected and inscribed to the memory of his most beloved and most deserving wife by Thomas Lord Bruce. (Photo Sept 2014).
