Mid C19 2-storey, 5 bay house of sandstone ashlar. Arches of chalk blocks with
keys inserted within shouldered outer arches of segment-headed 1st floor windows;
and a round cut chalk arch over centre window. 1st floor cill band. Fairly low
pitched hipped slated roof has deep bracketed eaves soffit; 4 end and one centre
stacks. Sash windows with glazing bars; keystones and voussoirs on ground floor.
Central projection holds panelled door with side lights in wood entablature framework;
and a tripartite half-landing window above with flat pilasters and entablature.
Set back at right a low, long extension of coursed chalk blocks with low pitched
slated roof.

Nos 51. 55. 55. No 59 and the Entrance Gateway to south of No 59 form a group.
